Unit Policies

The purpose of these policies are to create a structured team environment that each MEMBER can easily follow and understand. These policies must be agreed upon and followed before joining Japan MILSIM.

  1. Once joining Japan MILSIM, no MEMBER may be part of another team.
  2. Japan MILSIM has the following four (4) event types. MEMBERS must attend at least eight (8) TEAM GAME(s), OFFICIAL GAME(s) or TRAINING DAY(s) a year;
    • TEAM GAME – Any game consisting of three or more members playing.
    • OFFICIAL GAME – Normally held on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
    • TRAINING DAY – Training days are normally held 4 times a year.
    • PRIVATE GAME – Members playing with friends or work colleagues privately.

    NOTE: Any time you play (excluding PRIVATE GAMES), you must send a confirmation email to the team, so that the team calendar can be updated and other members can be informed.

  3. All MEMBERS must follow team uniform code when playing at a TEAM GAME, OFFICIAL GAME or participating in TRAINING DAYS. If playing a PRIVATE GAME then there is no uniform code, however, please do not wear team patches or call signs.
    NOTE: For more information and uniform guide, please see our uniform section.
  4. All MEMBERS must follow the game field rules and the decisions of the staff. There are no exceptions.
  5. All MEMBERS must understand that they are representing Japan MILSIM both on and off the field. As such the team expect a high standard of maturity and sportsmanship from every member. Any of the following is unacceptable;
    • Cheating, not calling hits, etc…
    • Homophobia, sexism, racism, religious intolerance or insulting language to any other member, player or field staff.
    • Bad language on or off the field.
  6. To become a MEMBER of Japan MILSIM, all RECRUITS must pass a trial period. The trial period consists of the RECRUIT playing three (3) TEAM GAME(s), OFFICIAL GAME(s) or TRAINING DAY(s) before being able to join the team and receiving their unit patches and call sign.
    NOTE: Recruits must follow all team rules, except rule 3 of wearing full uniform during their trial period.
  7. MEMBERS are welcome to invite GUESTS to play on TEAM GAME days, but please inform the PLATOON SERGEANT prior.
    NOTE: It is the MEMBER’s responsibility to make sure their GUEST(s) know and fully understand the rules of the game and field. If the same GUEST plays three (3) consecutive games then they must apply to join to continue playing with the team.
  8. The team has a yearly membership fee of ¥3,000 that is payable by all MEMBERS in May, or when joining the team after their trial period has ended.
    NOTE: Team fees are non-refundable on leaving or being removed from the unit.
  9. MEMBERS wishing to leave Japan MILSIM may do so whenever they wish. Please inform the PLATOON SERGEANT via email.
  10. Japan MILSIM is managed by the Squad Leaders and their Team Leaders, if any MEMBER breaks the above rules then they reserve the right to warn or remove MEMBERS from the team.

Before you can build an effective team, you need high-performing players. So next time you consider hiring a new employee, revisit these 4 characteristics. If you have an open floor plan, you may not want to hire someone who is extremely introverted or accustomed to working remotely.
